Olympic Snowboarders Sue Coach

Three former American snowboarders, including Olympic bronze medalist Rosey Fletcher, are taking legal action against their former coach, the US Ski & Snowboard Federation, and the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee, accusing them of covering up sexual abuse.

The lawsuit, which was filed in US District Court in Los Angeles on Thursday, also names former coach Peter Foley as a defendant. The athletes claim that Foley sexually abused them and other women for almost two decades with the complicity of the USOPC and USSS.

The suit seeks unspecified monetary compensation and asserts that Foley used his position of power and trust to manipulate, intimidate, and exploit the athletes into performing sexual acts through force, emotional abuse, and retaliation.
