Manchester United Manager Erik ten Hag Relieved After Charges were Dropped

London – After the criminal charges against the 21-year-old forward were dropped on Friday, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag instructed his team not to get caught up in Mason Greenwood’s future.

Prosecutors claimed the case was dropped after key witnesses withdrew and “new material that came to light.” Greenwood had been charged with attempted rape and assault, among other crimes.

In a statement released on Thursday, United stated that the team would now “perform its own process before considering the next steps.”

In a brief statement issued on his behalf, Greenwood expressed his relief that the situation had been resolved.

Ten Hag declined to comment on the situation during a press conference on Friday before the game.
