Elon moving companies due to transgender and gay laws.

Elon Musk recently announced that he’s moving the headquarters of both SpaceX and X out of California.

The decision comes after California’s Governor Gavin Newsom approved new protections for transgender and gay students in schools. The law prevents schools from requiring staff to notify parents if their children show signs of being transgender or share information about their sexual orientation.

Musk, who has a transgender daughter, cited this as the “final straw” and stated that the move is due to this law and others that have targeted families and companies. SpaceX will relocate from Hawthorne in Southern California to Starbase, Texas, while X will move from San Francisco to Austin, Texas.
