Drake's house flooded

Toronto recently experienced severe flooding due to heavy rainfall from three consecutive storms.

On Tuesday, almost 100mm (4 inches) of rain fell on Toronto, surpassing the city’s daily record set in 1941. The intense storms caused widespread flooding across the city

The Don Valley Parkway, a major motorway, was blocked in both directions due to flooding. Ontario Highway 410 was also closed. More than 167,000 customers were left without power, and several flights were delayed or canceled at Billy Bishop Airport on the Toronto Islands.

Canadian rapper Drake’s Toronto home, known as “The Embassy,” was also affected by the floods. He posted a video on Instagram showing part of his home submerged in sludgy brown water.

Authorities rescued at least 14 people, including one person plucked from their car’s roof. Toronto’s fire service received calls from people trapped in lifts due to power outages during working hours.
