Co-founder De La Soul Trugoy Has Died

Trugoy the Dove, whose real name was David Jude Jolicoeur, passed away. He was a founding member of the acclaimed US hip-hop group, De La Soul.

His representative, Tony Ferguson, confirmed the news of his death but did not provide additional details.

Jolicoeur had previously disclosed that he was suffering from congestive heart failure.

Although De La Soul was part of the hip-hop tribute performance at the Grammy Awards just last week, Trugoy was not present on stage with his fellow band members.
