(ZEP) Zimbabwean Exemption Permit Exten sion 2023 – South Africa

Since 2009, numerous individuals from Zimbabwe have been residing in South Africa legally under a sequence of permits.

The Zimbabwean Special Permit, which was introduced after 2017, has now been substituted by the Zimbabwean Exemption Permit (ZEP).

In 2021, the Minister of Home Affairs, Aaron Motsoaledi, declared that the ZEP program would not be renewed. However, it has recently been prolonged until 31 December 2023.
