“Yahoo boys ” caught

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abuja Zonal Command has arraigned three internet scammers, known as “yahoo boys,” for fraud.

The Federal High Court in Abuja sentenced the three individuals to community service on Monday. Victor Joseph, Mohammed Edogi Mohammed, and Johnson Nifemi were each charged with one count of internet fraud.

Joseph is accused of pretending to be a marine engineer named Zhang Li and tricking a Chinese citizen named Xiao into giving him N150,000.
