Winter Storm

A significant winter storm that was bearing down on millions of Americans knocked out power in more than 100,000 homes and businesses and disrupted flights at the congested Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The storm also dropped rain, freezing rain, and heavy snow across the nation.

As the storm’s path extended more from the center of the US into more of the South and North-East, a wide swath of states from New Mexico to Maine continued to be under winter storm warnings and watches. From the southern Rockies to northern New England, severe snowfall was predicted, and from Texas to Pennsylvania, heavy ice buildup was predicted.

Winter weather impacts this morning have affected a lot of real estate, according to Andrew Orrison, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
