Uganda Examination Boards Warns Institutions

Uganda-The Uganda Business and Technical Examination Board (UBTEB) has issued a warning that it may withdraw centre numbers from private and public tertiary institutions that fail to adhere to the board’s regulations.

At a press conference held at the UBTEB offices in Kampala, Dr Wilfred Nahamya, the board’s deputy executive secretary for examination management, stated that they have initiated a three-week inspection of all technical and vocational education institutions.

The goal is to ensure that training and education provided to learners meet high standards, as the country strives to achieve the objectives outlined in the National Development Plan (NDP) III.

After the inspection is completed, the board’s relevant committee will present recommendations to the board regarding the status of accredited centres, as detailed in the report.
