Uganda Bus Crash Kenyans died

Uganda – A bus crash on Saturday near the Kenyan town of Lwakhakha resulted in the deaths of 21 passengers and left 49 others injured.

According to police, most of the victims were Kenyan nationals and eight were from Uganda. The bus was traveling from the eastern Ugandan city of Mbale to Nairobi when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road. Speeding has been identified as a preliminary cause of the crash.

This latest accident follows a surge of road incidents in Uganda, leading the government to plan new measures to improve road safety. Over the New Year period, 104 road crashes occurred in just three days, leading to 35 fatalities and 114 injuries.

In response, the Ugandan cabinet is implementing new safety measures to reduce the number of accidents.
