Amazon Prime Video will now offer Tyler Perry movies. The Atlanta-based entertainment tycoon has signed a deal with the studio, which has a film division run by Julie Rapaport, under which he will produce, write, and direct four features for Prime Video’s global distribution.
In a statement, Perry stated, “I’m pleased and happy to start working with Amazon Studios to deliver movies to Prime Video.” “Jennifer Salke and the entire crew have embraced me with open arms, and I’m looking forward to continue to develop original stories and deliver my next projects to the audiences that they reach throughout the world,” the author said.
Perry made his Hollywood debut in 2005 thanks to the unexpected hit “Diary of a Mad Black Woman.” His own stage drama was adapted for the big screen.
