Donald Trump, the first former US president to face criminal charges, is scheduled to travel from Florida to New York City for his arraignment related to a hush-money payment made to adult film actress Stephanie Clifford, also known as Stormy Daniels, before the 2016 presidential election.

The charges included in the grand jury indictment have not been revealed, but Trump’s lawyers have indicated that he will plead not guilty.

The arraignment is planned for 2:15 pm on Tuesday at the central Manhattan courthouse, after which Trump will return to Florida and deliver remarks at Mar-a-Lago at 8:15 pm.

Barricades have been erected around Trump Tower and the courthouse in preparation for expected demonstrations, and the judge will decide on Monday whether cameras and video will be permitted in the courtroom.
