The Pakistan government to reinstate X within a week. Pakistan High Court

On Wednesday, a lawyer stated that a Pakistan High Court mandated the government to reinstate social media platform X within seven days, following over two months of suspension directed by the interior ministry. Previously identified as Twitter, the platform has been scarcely reachable since February 17, coinciding with protests instigated by the party of imprisoned former prime minister Imran Khan over an official’s acknowledgment of electoral interference in February’s election. Court documents revealed that Pakistan’s communications authority had been instructed by the Interior Ministry to enforce the shutdown.
