Tax Protests in Kenya

In Kenya, there have been recent protests in Nairobi against proposed tax hikes included in a finance bill. Over 200 people have been arrested amid these demonstrations, with concerns over looting leading some businesses to close temporarily.

The protests began on Tuesday and have seen police using tear gas against demonstrators. Despite amendments to some tax proposals, opposition to the bill continues.
