South Africa to Spend a Billion on English Premier League Team

South Africa – In an effort to draw tourists to the nation, the South African government intends to execute a nearly R1 billion contract with Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League.

According to a story in “Daily Maverick,” the South African government is getting ready to sign a contract worth R910 997 814.75 through its marketing organization SA Tourism. Themba Khumalo, the acting CEO of SA Tourism, reportedly gave the initial presentation of the plan on January 27. The arrangement is reportedly envisaged for a 36-month duration.

According to the “Daily Maverick” report, Tourism Minister Lindiwe Sisulu is keen for the agreement to be completed before President Cyril Ramaphosa’s upcoming Cabinet reshuffle removes her from the position.
