Shooting at Michigan University

Michigan – A gunman shot and killed three people at Michigan State University in the US, while injuring five others, before taking his own life.

The shooting occurred on Monday night in two locations at the East Lansing campus – an academic building and a nearby student union.

The police confirmed that the shooter, a man, committed suicide after fleeing. The campus police reported on Twitter that three fatalities have been confirmed in addition to the five victims taken to the hospital.

The campus, serving about 50,000 students and located 145km northwest of Detroit.
