England- Secondary school students in England are currently protesting against new toilet use rules, resulting in violent outbursts at various schools across the country. Students in Cornwall, Yorkshire, and Lincolnshire have been demanding an end to policies that prohibit the use of toilets during class times and enforce strict regulations, including girls having to show a ‘red card’ while on their period.
The protests have been particularly intense at Penrice Academy, Cornwall, where students have reportedly been throwing tables and breaking fences to contest the changes.
Parents at the Farnley Academy, Leeds, have also expressed their anger, stating that the new policy has infringed upon their children’s human rights.
Similarly, at Haven High Academy, Lincolnshire, dozens of students and parents protested, with one parent likening the new policy to “prison rules.”
