On the second day of his court proceedings against the Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), Prince Harry was questioned for five hours. He arrived at the court on Wednesday, wearing a dark suit and silver tie, and waved to the cameras as he entered.
During the cross-examination by MGN’s barrister, Prince Harry was asked if he would be disappointed if the court finds his phone was not hacked. He responded that it would feel unjust if the court didn’t accept the claims of hacking, considering that Mirror Group had already admitted to hacking. He also expressed his confusion about how the newspapers obtained information about his former relationship with Chelsy Davy, stating that he never discussed those details with the Palace.
After the cross-examination, Prince Harry’s barrister, David Sherborne, asked him how the experience of being in the witness box and having to go through the articles in a public courtroom made him feel. The prince paused, appeared emotional, and finally replied, “Erm, it’s a lot.”
