Prayers Against Homosexuality

Kenya- Rachel Ruto, the First Lady of Kenya, has called for national prayers against homosexuality in the country, claiming that the family unit is being threatened. She spoke out against the recent Supreme Court ruling that upheld the right of the LGBTQ community to associate in Kenya, stating that the country cannot condone such a decision.

Homosexuality remains a criminal offense in Kenya, and the government has faced protests from President William Ruto and religious leaders in response to the court’s ruling. The Attorney-General has stated that the government will challenge the decision, arguing that it should be a matter for public consultation rather than for the courts to decide.
