OceanGate Suspends Operations.

OceanGate has halted all its activities following the tragic deaths of five individuals, including the Chief Executive Officer, Stockton Rush, during a submersible implosion.

As reported by CNN on Thursday, the company made an official statement on its website, announcing the suspension of both exploration and business operations. OceanGate, a privately owned American company, specializes in providing crewed submersibles for various purposes such as tourism, industry, research, and exploration.

Notably, the company organized a “Titanic Expedition,” an underwater excursion to the historic site where the Titanic sank in 1912. However, on June 19, the United States Coast Guard in Boston reported the disappearance of a submersible carrying passengers to the Titanic wreckage.

The individuals aboard the missing submersible have been identified as CEO Rush, British businessman Hamish Harding, French diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Pakistani billionaire Shahzada Dawood, and Dawood’s 19-year-old son, Suleman Dawood.
