Novak Djokovic first round victory

MELBOURNE, Australia – With a flawless win over Spain’s Roberto Carballes Baena on Tuesday, Novak Djokovic made a triumphant return to the Australian Open.

Following his expulsion a year ago, the Serb received a thunderous welcome at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne as he launched his quest for a 10th Australian Open victory.

The 35-year-old, who missed the Grand Slam last year due to his beliefs over Covid vaccines. He went for 6-3, 6-4, 6-0 victory.
