Nigerian Singer Tems Wins Grammy Award

Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems, has added “Grammy Award Winner” to her list of achievements after winning her first Grammy for her contribution to Future’s ‘Wait For U,’ which features Drake.

The win, in the category of Best Melodic Rap Performance, makes her the first female Nigerian artist to receive a Grammy. Tems is also a nominee for Album of the Year for her contribution to Beyoncé’s Renaissance and was previously nominated for an Oscar for co-writing the song “Lift Me Up” in the movie ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’

Tems has received widespread recognition for her music and artistry, including collaborations with famous musicians like Beyoncé and Rihanna. Fans took to social media to express their excitement and congratulations after the news of Tems’ win was announced.
