N14 Plane Crash

According to Emer-G-Med, a private EMS company, a light aircraft is believed to have crashed near the N14 in Knoppieslaagte, Gauteng on Wednesday morning, 15 February.

The aircraft, which was found to have crashed into a river, had only the pilot as its occupant. The pilot was declared dead on arrival by paramedics, said Kyle van Reenen, a spokesperson for Emer-G-Med.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) have taken control of the scene for further investigation.
