Monster Hurricane Beryl hits Grenada

Hurricane Beryl (2024): Hurricane Beryl became the earliest Category 4 hurricane on record in the Atlantic. It rapidly intensified from a tropical depression to a major hurricane (Category 4) in less than 48 hours.

Beryl made landfall in Carriacou Island, Grenada, with catastrophic winds of up to 150 mph. The storm caused significant damage, including toppled trees, power outages, and life-threatening storm surge in the southern Windward Islands. Residents were urged to remain indoors during the storm’s passage.
