OceanGate Expeditions, the tour company responsible for the submersible bound for the Titanic, has expressed their belief that the five passengers on board are no longer alive. The Coast Guard is expected to provide an update regarding the ongoing search efforts.
Debris that was found on the ocean floor, located approximately one-third of a mile away from the Titanic wreckage, has undergone examination. It has been determined that the debris originated from the external structure of the missing submersible. This information is based on a memo that was reviewed by CNN.
The individuals who were on board the submersible were Hamish Harding, Shahzada Dawood, his son Suleman Dawood, Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and Stockton Rush, who serves as the CEO of OceanGate.
