Lawyer throws baby out of window

A lawyer named Katarina Jovanovic was jailed for seven and a half years after she threw her newborn daughter out of a window. The tragic incident occurred because she was worried the infant would ruin her career as an executive at Porsche.

Jovanovic, from Lauffen am Neckar, Baden-Wuerttemberg State, gave birth in secret on September 12, 2023, and dropped her minutes-old daughter from her flat.

The infant landed on the windowsill and was found by a passer-by. While Jovanovic claimed she hadn’t realized she was pregnant, prosecutors argued that she deliberately concealed her pregnancy from colleagues and neighbors. They believed she thought being a mother would spoil her career, leading to her conviction for manslaughter.
