Floods in Kenya

Roads in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, have transformed into rivers due to severe flooding, according to a senior official who described the situation as reaching “extreme levels.” Recent heavy rainfall has inflicted widespread destruction across Kenya. The United Nations reports that the death toll has reached at least 32 people, with over 40,000 individuals displaced from their residences as a result of the torrential rain and subsequent flooding. Edwin Sifuna, responsible for Nairobi county, shared footage depicting an entire neighborhood submerged underwater. The video shows residents stranded on the rooftops of their houses.
