European Diplomat concerned about Russian Minister’s visit to South Africa

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s travel to South Africa, according to Sweden’s top diplomat, is cause for alarm. The remarks were made by Tobias Billstrom outside of a gathering of EU foreign ministers in Brussels to coordinate military assistance for Ukraine.

Josep Borrell, the head of the EU’s foreign affairs department, declared following the meeting that he would shortly be traveling to South Africa for ministerial discussions.
