E-hailing driver drives off with customer’s children

A Johannesburg e-hailing driver drove away carrying two of his customer’s children due to apparent fear of violence by metered taxi drivers. The father of the kids waved down local security fearing that the children were being kidnapped, who helped to stop the e-hailing driver.

The incident took place near the intersection of Commissioner and Kruis streets in the central business district of Johannesburg.
