Drama at SONA

Cape Town ,South Africa -The 2023 State of the Nation Address at the Cape Town City Hall was disrupted by chaos on Thursday night, as various political parties raised objections.

President Ramaphosa was unable to start his speech as EFF leader Julius Malema claimed that the president lacked credibility in light of the Phala Phala controversy. ATM leader Vuyolwethu Zungula was the first to be ordered to leave the assembly by National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, and was eventually removed by parliamentary security.

The Speaker was forced to suspend the proceedings as the EFF rushed the stage where the President was waiting to deliver his speech.
