Deputy Leader of UDM Kidnapped

The United Democratic Movement (UDM)’s Deputy President, Nqabayomzi Kwankwa, was kidnapped while en route to the Cape Town International Airport. Fortunately, he was rescued after the party paid a R10,000 ransom. UDM leader Bantu Holomisa confirmed that Kwankwa is now safe at a police station in Khayelitsha. The vehicle he was in and his belongings were taken, but the car was later found abandoned.
