DA suspends MP

Renaldo Gouws, a South African Member of Parliament (MP), has faced suspension by his party, the Democratic Alliance (DA), due to a disturbing video that resurfaced online.

In the video, Gouws uses violent racist language against black people, including a local slur typically reserved for Black Africans and the n-word. . Gouws had initially denied its authenticity, but the party’s statement clarified the situation.
