Crisis in the coalition in Johannesburg

SOUTH AFRICA- Today, Mayor Mpho Phalatse will be the subject of another motion of no confidence. Phalatse needs the Patriotic Alliance in addition to the EFF, ActionSA, IFP, and VF Plus to assure her safety despite having their backing (PA). The PA is expecting a response to its demands as negotiations between the DA and its coalition partners and the PA continue. If they don’t answer, the DA won’t be able to hold them responsible for Phalatse’s removal, according to PA deputy President Kenny Kunene.
