According to World Health Organization (WHO) scientists, the new omicron subvariant XBB is being closely monitored for dissemination.
According to epidemiologists, this type is becoming more common in both Europe and the United States.
More than 25 countries have now confirmed the presence of it.
This sub-variant was discovered in October last year, according to WHO Director General Doctor Tedros Ghebreyesus.
“WHO is closely monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the sub-danger of the variant. Despite the fact that COVID-19 will undoubtedly continue to be a hot topic of conversation, I think and hope that this year will mark the official conclusion of the public health emergency.”
The COVID-19 situation in China, according to Ghebreyesus, continues to be a major worldwide concern.
