China Tells US not to Focus on Zambia’s Debt

Zambia – According to the Chinese government, Washington should stop pressuring Beijing to reduce Zambia’s debt and instead concentrate on preventing a domestic government default that might have an impact on the world economy.

The Chinese embassy in Zambia issued a statement on Tuesday stating that “the US can make the biggest contribution to the debt issues outside the country by dealing with its own debt problem and stopping obstructing other sovereign countries’ active attempts to solve their debt difficulties.”
