Chef Jock Zonfrillo of MasterChef has died

Jock Zonfrillo, the judge on MasterChef Australia, a renowned chef, and an author, passed away at the age of 46, as confirmed by his family on Monday.

The family statement, expressing their grief, described him as an “irreplaceable husband, father, brother, son, and friend” who passed away in Melbourne on Sunday.

No cause of death has been revealed, and the Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed that it was not a suspicious death, and a report would be presented to the coroner.

The new season of MasterChef Australia was scheduled to premiere on Monday but was postponed by Network 10. Many prominent personalities from the culinary world, including Jamie Oliver and Colin Fassnidge, expressed their condolences and shock over Zonfrillo’s death on social media.
