Cash Crisis in Nigeria

Nigeria is facing potential turmoil as ATMs across the country’s largest economy run out of updated currency, just prior to a cutoff date that will make high-denomination notes illegal.

Customers are permitted to withdraw up to 20,000 naira ($43), but several ATMs were not distributing any money.
