Al Jazeera, an international television news channel, will soon air an investigative documentary in March exposing corruption and money laundering in Zimbabwe, involving government officials and their associates.
The documentary, which was recorded over a period of two years, features secretly filmed footage of corrupt officials admitting to their involvement in laundering money and exploiting resources.
The trailer released by the news channel includes footage of Uebert Angel, the appointed ambassador at large by President Mnangagwa. Journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has described the documentary as “mind-blowing,” and the producers have shared it with a group of corruption experts and journalists for their insights. The Al Jazeera Investigative Journalism Directorate produced the documentary, beginning in 2022.
