Actor Alec Baldwin to be charged

Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and died on a movie set by actor Alec Baldwin after he discharged a prop gun. Baldwin will be charged with involuntary manslaughter.

When the shooting took place in October 2021 at a ranch outside of Sante Fe, New Mexico, Mr. Baldwin was rehearsing a scene for the Western picture Rust.

Charges will also be brought against Hannah Gutierrez Reed, the movie’s armorer.

Both parties’ attorneys stated that they intended to contest the charges in court.
