34 Charges for Trump

The charges against Trump stem from an investigation into the payment of $130,000 in hush money to Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, in exchange for her silence about an alleged affair with Trump in 2006.

The payment was made by Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty in 2018 to violating campaign finance laws and was sentenced to three years in prison.

Prosecutors allege that Trump and his company, the Trump Organization, falsified business records to cover up the true nature of the payment.

The charges include multiple counts of scheme to defraud, conspiracy, and falsifying business records, and carry a potential sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

Trump’s legal team has vowed to fight the charges and has accused prosecutors of political bias.

The former president has also faced numerous other legal challenges since leaving office, including investigations into his finances and business dealings.

The outcome of the case is likely to have major implications for Trump’s political future, as well as for the broader political landscape in the United States.
